The passenger traffic of Zhukovsky Airport in June increased by 390%

In June 2018, the passenger traffic of Zhukovsky International Airport grew by 390% compared to the same period last year, first time breaking the mark of 100,000 passengers per month.
Commenting on the result, the general director of JSC "RAMPORT AERO" Thomas Vaishvila said: "One hundred thousand passengers is an important psychological milestone for us. In many ways, this means moving to a new level, allowing us to say confidently that the development of the airport is moving in the right direction. In part, the current growth is caused by additional passenger traffic due to the World Football Championship taking place in Russia. Nevertheless, this result was expected regardless of the football championship. For the most part, this result has been achieved due to the expansion of the route network and the increase in the frequency of flights in regular destinations. We confidently moved forward, our immediate plans are to consolidate and develop success. "
The year 2018 is shaping up for Zhukovsky quite successfully: at the moment, flights are carried out in 15 international and 2 domestic destinations, during the first six months of the year, 472,877 passengers were transported - more than for the entire 2017 year. The growth of passenger traffic is ensured by the activity of partner airlines and an increase in the frequency of flights in the main areas. The most popular among passengers are flights to Minsk, Tel Aviv and Simferopol. Significant progress has also been made in the development of air communication with China: at the moment, regular flights to Zhukovsky are carried out to Guangzhou, Xian, Fuzhou, Haikou and Jinan.
Zhukovsky Airport continues active work on the development of the international and domestic route network and attracting new airlines to cooperation.
